Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I played bass guitar in many bands in the Portland area, including Johnny and the Distractions, The Wasted Rangers and blues legend Albert Collins. In the mid 80's I left the music business and became a Park Ranger in the National Park Service where I rediscovered my passion for photography. I moved to NYC in 1999 and worked for 5 years at The American Museum of Natural History where I directed the digital imaging of the Department of Paleontology's Dinosaur Collection. An avid music photographer, I managed Morrison Hotel Gallery in the Bowery and RIFF, Andy Hilfiger's pop up rock and roll fashion store at the old CBGB Gallery location in New York City. Some of my clients include: Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, Kings Of Leon, Cheap Trick, The Wallflowers, The Buzzcocks, California Breed, Vintage Trouble, Gary Clark Jr. and many more. I have been published in Rolling Stone, Dazed and Confused, Vanity Fair, National Geographic, The New York Times, Black and White Magazine and more.
